Everest Kalapatthar Trek starts after a flight of about 35 minutes from Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport you will be landed at small airstrip of Lukla airport. Our team member will help you in packing and take you to Namche Bazaar where you will have an acclimatization day. It will be an opportunity to know everything about Sherpa’s i.e. their culture, festivals, lifestyle, traditions their beliefs and many more. You will make your way through an alpine forest, glacial rivers, waterfalls, stony trails, mountains and monasteries to a Kalapatthar from where a 360-degree good view of mountains including Mt. Everest. Everest Kalapatthar Trek is of 19 days but needs quality fitness.

The best season to visit Everest base camp is autumn (Sep to Dec) and spring (March to May) and its path will be crowded during this period of time. Then the weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views but the cold nights make you more memorable about this trip. Winter (Dec, Jan, and Feb) is also good for Everest Base Camp Trek, the only issue is cold and hard to survive and walk. Summer and monsoon (June and July) will be rainy but less crowded a where you can enjoy best of the natural beauty of this place. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrive in TIA, Kathmandu (1,400m/ 4,600 ft)

    After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will need to go through a custom check and visa formalities. As you exit from the Arrival Hall, you will find our representative waiting for you with placard in their hand. Check your name in the placard. After receiving you, he will drop you at the hotel. Get refreshed and later, you will be getting brief instructions regarding your trip. Explore the surrounding area and have a comfortable stay.

  • Day 2

    Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    This is the day in which you will be observing the medieval city Kathmandu with our tour guide. Out of 10 cultural heritage site recognized by UNESCO in Nepal, 7 lie in Kathmandu Valley while 4 of them exist in Kathmandu. You will get to visit Nepal’s largest Buddhist shrine of Bouddhanath at Bouddha, Holy temple of Hindus Pashupatinath, 2,500 years old Buddhist shrine of Swayambhunath at Swayambhu and the ancient Royal Palace at Kathmandu Durbar Square visit with French Speaking Guide. You will get time for trek preparation and shopping in the afternoon and preparing for Budhathum.

  • Day 3

    Flight to Lukla (2,827 m/ 9274 ft)

    Flight to Lukla (2,827 m/ 9274 ft) 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610 m/ 8562 ft) 3 hrs
    On the following day we will catch our flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which consumes around 35 minutes. From Lukla we will head to Phakding (2,610 m). The trip begins after ascending the slope on the left of Dudh Koshi River bank. Meanwhile you will also get to view the magnificent beauty of Kusum Kangaru, Mt Kwondge and many more. On the way you passed a few tea houses and Mani walls. And stay overnight in Phakding.

  • Day 4

    Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/ 11286 ft) 5 hrs

    Next day you will move to Namche (3,440 m) taking 5 hours of trek duration. Taking slight rise from Jhorsalle, the trail crosses a waterfall. All through the day, you will cross the villages interspersing magnificent forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees and magnolia. And on the way to stroll you will be rewarded with the first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369 m) Thamserku (6608 m) Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) then a vertical climb to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440 m). Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar,

  • Day 5

    Acclimatization day, view Everest and back to Namche

    You might have an idea behind acclimatization as you are proceeding to elevated elevation it is recommended to have short day hike to Thame, Khumjung or Khunde. If you get some time then you can go for soothing and exploring the Namche, the Sherpa culture and viewing Everest you will return to Namche Bazaar. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 6

    Trek to Dole (4,110 m/ 13484 ft) 5-6 hrs

    Today you will set another milestone towards Dole (4,110 m) by soaring up to Namche Bazaar. From Kyangjuma village you can observe the views of Thamserku and Ama Dablam. You will cross all through the Mong La to take pleasure from an impressive outlook of snow capped mountains with the valley. Namche Bazaar will too put forward the natural flora and fauna. Stay overnight in Dole.

  • Day 7

    Trek to Machhermo (4,470 m/ 14665 ft) 4-5 hrs

    From Dole you will start the trek to Machhermo (4,470 m) taking 4 to 5 hours. At first you will soar up all along the side of valley and Rhododendron forest. The trail will take you into trail where you have to cross several summer arrangements, grazing land. In front of you, the superb view of Cho Oyu is standing and other peaks like Thamserku and Khantega. Stay overnight in Machhermo.

  • Day 8

    Trek to Gokyo Lake site (4,790 m/ 15715 ft) 4-5 hrs

    On the following day you will head to Gokyo Lake site (4,790m), a sacred land. You will go after the picturesque trail to Pangka and go up steep rocky by the side of the glacier. You will cover up the first, second and third lakes. As you move inside of the lake you will see the enclosed splendid Gyachung and Cho Oyu whose reflection can be seen in water. Stay overnight in Gokyo Lake site.

  • Day 9

    Ascend to Gokyo – Ri (5,357 m/ 17575 ft) and trek to Drangna (4,700 m/ ) 6-7 hrs

    Stepping with going up to the pinnacle of Gokyo Ri, you will be rewarded with several amazing sceneries. There subsist noticeable viewpoint of dramatic Gokyo Valley, huge Ngozumpa Glacier and hard to deem panoramic observation of Khumbu Himalayas like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Cho-Oyu. In the afternoon you will trek down to Drangna (4,700 m/ 15419 ft) Stay overnight in Drangna.

  • Day 10

    Trek to via Cho La Pass Zongla (4,830 m/ 15846 ft) 6-7 hrs

    On the following day you will wake up early in the morning and then begin the trek following the trails of Cho La Pass which is situated at an elevation of 4,830 m. Cho La Pass is the medium to trek Zongla. Stay overnight in Zongla.

  • Day 11

    Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/ 16108 ft) 4 hrs

    Today you will keep on your trip all the way through the Alpine region. On the way to Lobuche (4,910m), you will be crossing the ice-covered river in Thukla glacier and scale up the hill to observe the splendid scrutiny of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse and Pumori. It takes 4 hours to end the Lobuche trek. Stay overnight in Lobuche.

  • Day 12

    Trek to Gorakshep (5,140 m/ 16863 ft) 4-5 hrs

    The nature of today’s trek demands an early walk as you will move to Gorakshep marking the trek from Lobuche. At first you will go after the narrow space that stuck amid the moraine of glacier and the wall. After that you will cross the tributary of mountain glaciers to the dried out lake bed recognized as Gokrak Shep (5,140m). Stay overnight in Gorakshep.

  • Day 13

    Ascend to Kalapathar (5,545 m/ 18192 ft) and trek down to Lobuche (4,910 m/ 16108 ft) 6-7 hrs

    Today you will go in front to go up the Kalapathar (5,545m) in an early morning which takes 3 hours. This is one of essential magnetism of the trek and we have focused our main attention to it.   • Day 14

    Trek to Dingboche (4,360 m/ 14304 ft) 5 hrs

    Ascending to Kalapathar and trekking downward to Lobuche now you will start on with the trek to Dingboche (4,360m). Here, you will effort two treks counting Dingboch and Periche where you will trek down to the Island Peak. Dingboche is the ideal location from where you can outlook downward valley, attractive array of pastureland which is bounded by stone walls. Stay overnight in Dingboche.

  • Day 15

    Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m/ 12664 ft) 5 hrs

    Finishing the trek to Dingboche today you will make use of it by trekking Tengboche (3,860m) which seize 5 hours. Starting the trek from the serene Khumjung with Khumbila peak will continue the trek to see the Tengboche monastery in the Tengoboche. In addition you will get to see the outstanding monastery and Himalaya like Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kategna and Thamserku. Stay overnight in Tengboche.

  • Day 16

    Trek to Monjo via Namche

    On the following day you will trek back to Monjo via Namche (3,440m) taking 6 to 7 hours of time frame. Arriving in Namche you will visit the local shops from where you can buy the local handicrafts crafted by the natives. You can too enjoy the cultures of Sherpa people and their daily activities staying with them. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 17

    Trek to Lukla (2,828 m/ 9278 ft) 5-6 hrs

    On the following day you will start in on to trek Lukla (2,827m) after taking breakfast. The trek will seize 4-5 hours from Namche Bazaar. The weather of Lukla cannot forecast so more often the trekking companies include an additional day for Lukla. But you are set out in a proper season you might be lucky to travel out on the same day. Stay overnight in Lukla.

  • Day 18

    Flight to Kathmandu (1,400 m/ 4600ft)

    In an early morning you will take a flight to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Lukla Airport. This will be the joyous adventurous flight. Arriving in TIA you will be picking up and then again transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the comfortable bed. In the evening you will return to hotel completing the short sightseeing to take part in farewell dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 19


    You will be dropped at The Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. We wish you will have a safe journey back home with the best memories of trekking with us.
